Watching how much they enjoy the books I’ve chose to read to them. During a week when we were focused on Civil Rights I read the book “Pink and Say” to them. They loved it! The questions that they asked were brilliant and they are so intrigued to learn about a time when things were much different than they are today.

On their feedback forms, it was echoed through my 5th period that “I (or we) know when to have fun and when to be serious” and how much they enjoy the class because “it’s easy but not easy, if that makes sense.” They are such an amazing bunch.
