Tumblr, I present you with a challenge.
My school district does not allow candy in the classroom. Not to be given out any day including Halloween.
We also are not allowed to show movies as rewards.
Now I know I could reward my students with pencils, stickers, erasers, free time, extra recess, etc.,but I was thinking of opening this up for creative suggestions.
So here, I ask you, if you were in my position what would you reward...

Things I Promise You Tomorrow.
I’m so not one for complaining, but I will get rid of this whiplash headache. I WILL DO IT. I think this headache is from when my brain slammed against my skull last week, yeah probably.

Happened:
Went to an environmentally friendly store in my area for FREE teaching things. FREE. (Chicago peeps message me if you want info on this warehouse for free [you can donate $] teaching things, it was awesome)

I was interested when I found out iOS6 will be coming out this fall. There’s some pretty awesome features and some things that I’ve wished were available will now be real! (Read: I can FaceTime over wireless networks and upload things to Facebook straight from the app I’m in.)

I just had this epiphany at 11:30 pm.
I want to teach my fourth graders greek and latin roots throughout the entire school year. Hardcore. Just think of all of the benefits that students will have despite their level.

Here's a thought!
If you’re an artist, you should seriously consider turning useful anchor charts into visual works of art that I’d like to hang in my classroom. I’m such a strong believer in visual representation and appeal. If you know of any fancy/awesome/eye-catching artwork that would be a useful aid for an elementary classroom, let me know. Free Printable Paper Patterns
This awesome site offers free printable patterns for plain white paper. I really can’t believe these are free. I would use these all the time.
I’ve already thought about using them for meet the parents night or as fun decorations for conferences. Pretty patterns make life a little bit better. :)
